Alliance for Monitoring the Centenarian Population and Developing Nanobiotechnological Solutions for Healthy Aging in Navarre.
Navarrabiomed coordinates BIOANCIENT, a strategic R&D project that brings together eight Navarre-based entities with a shared goal: to improve the quality of life in old age through advanced technological solutions.
The project begins with the clinical and molecular study of centenarians to identify key longevity biomarkers and design personalized interventions. BIOANCIENT combines biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and nanotechnology to develop new bioactive compounds, high-sensitivity photonic biosensors, a tailored physical exercise app, and a digital clinical support platform. These innovations will enable early detection of pathological aging and the application of more effective, personalized treatments.
Finally, the applicability of these solutions will be evaluated in nutraceutical products, diagnostic tools, and digital health programs for older adults, with an analysis of their stability, efficacy, safety, and economic viability.
