Navarrabiomed coordinates BIOANCIENT, a strategic R&D project that brings together eight Navarrese entities around a common goal: improving quality of life in old age through advanced technological solutions. The project begins with clinical and molecular studies of centenarians to identify key longevity biomarkers and design personalized interventions.

BIOANCIENT combines biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and nanotechnology to develop new bioactive compounds, highly sensitive photonic biosensors, an app for adapted physical exercise, and a digital clinical support platform. These innovations will enable the early detection of pathological aging and the application of more effective and personalized treatments.

Finally, the applicability of these solutions will be evaluated in nutraceutical products, diagnostic tools, and digital health programs for older adults, analyzing their stability, efficacy, safety, and economic feasibility.
