Dr. Celia Fernández joins NUCAPS as Quality Manager

We are happy and proud to welcome Dr. Celia Fernández who has joined Nucaps as Quality Manager.

Celia holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of León and obtained her Ph.D. in Health Sciences from the same institution. Her research career at the Tropical Health Institute/University of Navarra and University of León has been focused on exploring new treatments for infectious pathologies, such studies have led to 26 scientific publications and over 50 contributions to both national and international conferences and she has actively contributed to 14 research projects in collaboration with national and international research groups.

She has also served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology (Faculty of Medicine/Faculty of Pharmacy) at the University of Navarra and in the Department of Health Sciences (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine) at the University of León. She has supervised doctoral, Master’s, and Bachelor’s students at the Faculty of Sciences.

With that impressive expertise in microbiology, she will now take the lead in quality management in our company with a focus on the probiotics area in which Nucaps is becoming a reference in Europe for food, nutraceutical, and cosmetic applications.
